The combination of Shaquille O’Neal and Kobe Bryant is one of the greatest tandems that the basketball world has ever seen, winning three championships and dominating the NBA, the two later parted ways in bitter fashion. Coming to blows when they were teammates and trading shots at each other in the media in the following years, the pair have since made amends. So much so, that O’Neal’s 16-year-old son Shareef, who is already one of the highest rated High School prospects in the nation, will be training with Kobe.
TMZ caught up with the youngster and he shared that his father and Bryant are actually on great terms, calling and texting each other frequently. He also weighed in on the possibility of Kobe joining Shaq and co. on TNT’s Inside The NBA. The most interesting tidbit though, was the revelation that he will be training with the Black Mamba after being approached by him at this year’s All-Star weekend festivities. Watch the clip below.
