The company today announced that the Miami Heat legend has signed a lifetime contract with Lining, continuing the partnership the two have had since 2012. The announcement of the new deal came with the reveal of the latest signature shoe for Wade, the “Way of Wade 7.”

Wade was on hand with the CEO of the company Li Ning in Beijing and stated the relationship will result in continuing the legacy of the line that has been created between the two entities. There were no details revealed about the amount of money but it is believed to be worth tens of millions of dollars.

“This was something I needed to do from the standpoint of building something,” Wade stated to The Associated Press. “That’s what I set out to do. This word we’ll talk about, legacy, I tried to set out to build a legacy for myself and my family. And after six years of that, it’s cool to be here today.”

Wade did not reveal if he will take the hardwood next year in the NBA with the Miami HEAT. Wade’s original endorsement deal with Li Ning was his third sneaker contract, the first two were with Converse and Jordan Brand.
