Kevin Hart is investing in a Mixed Martial Arts company but he has is also investing in the future and education of a group of students. The star of the upcoming film, Night School, tag-teamed with the United Negro College Fund and KIPP Public Schools to provide $600,000 in scholarships to 18 students who are attending historically black colleges and universities.
Hart was on hand in Los Angeles to award the Help From The Hart Charity Scholarships and to have dinner with the students who had no knowledge the scholarship was coming from him. Kipp matched Hart’s charity at $300,000 for the students who will attend Tuskegee University, Xavier University, Morehouse College, Spelman College and Clark Atlanta University. Eight of the students are from Hart’s hometown of Philadelphia.
