Musk unveiled the so-called “bulletproof” vehicle on stage and went on to showcase its durability and toughness. Musk asked his designer, Franz von Holzhausen, to hit the stainless-steel car door with a sledgehammer. What was left were a huge dent in the car door and an unscathed sledgehammer.

“You want a truck that’s really tough? Not fake tough?” Musk asked the crowd. “You want a truck you can take a sledgehammer to, a truck that won’t scratch, doesn’t dent.”

Musk then went on to test the strength of the “armored glass” and asked Holzhausen to throw a metal ball at the window. However, the glass ended up shattering.

In the video, you can hear Musk say “Oh my f*****g god” when the glass shattered. “Well, maybe that was a little too hard. They tried again with the rear window, and the same thing happened. “Ah, not bad. Room for improvement,” Musk told the audience. “We’ll fix it in post.”

According to Forbes, Tesla’s share dropped 6% since the market close yesterday, which means Musk’s net worth fell from $768 million to $2.3 billion. But, he’s still the 41st richest person in the world.
