On Sunday, Lil Durk uploaded a snippet of a song that he has been teasing fans with over some time.

Fan’s reaction to the sudden snippet of the song was mainly suggestions for the rapper to drop the song, however, they couldn’t help but notice Durk open up a little about his recent fallout with Coke boy, French Montana. “When I fell out with French Montana that sh*t did me damage. I learned the rules of a contract but I was planning on singing. He picked me up when Def Jam didn’t, he turned me diamond. Now I’m the voice of the streets, perfect timing,” Durk sang in the song.

Durk never officially signed to Montana’s Coke Boys label, instead, he found himself signing a deal with Def Jam Records which allegedly ended due to “bad business” with the company. Durk worked as an independent artist for some time which eventually led to his sign with Interscope Records.

There seems to be no bad blood between Durk and his at one point in time, mentor. French Montana commented on the snippet of the song, “Brothers 4life let’s finish what we started !!”
