Brought up in several boroughs of NY, Heightz’s musical talents and drive quickly opened new doors and opportunities for him. Though his early years could be classified as chaotic, Heightz never allowed his upbringing to define him. Early on, his focus and intense determination to offer a positive message, through his music, set him apart from his competition. His music style is heavily influenced by New York’s 90’s hip-hop scene which was enriched by massive movements from rap groups such as Mobb Deep, Ruff Ryders, Dipset, and Rocafella. After watching, first hand, the terrorist attacks on the Twin Towers, Heightz knew he had an obligation to New York City to serve in the military.
In 2014, Heightz released his first independent mixtape, entitled Scared of Heightz, featuring all original music. After deployments to Afghanistan and other overseas locations, Heightz returned to the music scene in 2019 to pursue his passion as an artist. His passion for music, tireless work ethic, and hard-hitting lyrical style are continually propelling him to new heights. He has worked, nationally and internationally, with multiplatinum producers such as Tony Fadd, creator of Fetty Wap’s “Trap Queen”, and a plethora of others who have produced works for artists such as Tory Lanez, Nipsey Hussle, UGK, Bun B, and Stack Bundles. Currently expanding his fan base worldwide, Benny Heightz is proof that music isn’t just about where you are from, it’s about where you are going!
