Alexis Stackhouse Releases ‘House Blend’ Short Film

The television and film industry has a talented, young black up and coming filmmaker on the horizon. Alexis Stackhouse who goes by the name “Lex”, is a senior at Syracuse University. She plans to showcase her talents on the world stage focusing on darker genres and global cinema. Lex is already making an impact with her short film, “House Blend” which she wrote, directed and produced during the time spent in quarantine while surviving the pandemic of 2020. All of the hard work put into the production of  “House Blend” paid off when she won the “Best Thriller Award” in the Couch Film Festival and was featured in the Tenoir TV Film Festival. She reached global recognition when the short film received an award in the “HER International Film Festival”.

Lex continued to push the envelope by developing “The Thrill Series” on her YouTube Channel. She covers anything relative to horror, suspense and psychological thrillers as it pertains to the stigmas and misconceptions many may have about these films. Although she gravitates to the darker genres her reach is not limited as she moves into global cinema as well. Obsessed with her own potential, she makes use of all of her talents. She is a contributing writer for PopSugar, which is a pop culture blog. Publicist Lynn Hobson proudly expressed, “Lex is beyond her years. Although her work to date is reflective of her passion to be greater than she was the day before. Her brand will be felt and experienced worldwide. One may know the name Stackhouse as it pertains to basketball – but now it will ring loud and clear on movie screens around the world. I’m sure of that.”
