DJ Brev Scott Is Seattle’s Best Kept Secret

Not many people can say they have toured Europe doing what they love especially while still being in their twenties. From Seattle but based in Los Angeles, house music DJ Brev Scott is making noise yet again as he transitions from DJ to a musical artist. At the age of 23-years-old DJ’ing helped get Scott’s foot in the door, building him a vast network of people that would aid in this slight pivot in the music industry. He began this change with the release of his first song ever in “Summers” which would go on to accumulate over 50,000 streams across all platforms. Not bad for his first track.

Brev spent his early years DJ’ing at weddings, college parties, and clubs so he could get his foot through the door. He used DJ’ing as a means to fund his artistic career and to take care of his family back home financially. Little did Brev know that in about one year he would be touring through Eastern Europe playing sets in front of thousands of people.

Due to COVID-19, we’ve seen many artists pull back from dropping music due to the drastic change in the consumer’s life and many artist’s projects are flopping as a result. Scott filled this void with the release of his first body of work in “Lucid Universe.” The EP contains three songs and features multiple rising producers in the Seattle area like: Janga Beats, Chris Smith, and 808 Deon. The project takes a space theme, while still providing the EDM and house music feel. More and more often we see the Internet spawn stars that probably wouldn’t have gotten a chance prior to the digital age, it’s no wonder why Brev Scott is emerging at the rate he is.
