Jack Skipp Talks Fulfillment, Freedom and More

When you take the entrepreneurial plunge, it is mostly based on something you love. At the very least, it should be based on something that interests you, and you believe in. After all, being self-employed or owning a business calls for long hours and more than one sleepless night. If you don’t believe in your idea, no one else will. Entrepreneurship is about passion, and Jack Skipp shares three reasons why you should follow your passion.

Fulfillment

Money can buy a sense of security and contentment, but it cannot buy happiness or fulfillment. Jack Skipp shares, “By starting a business based on your passion, you will have a greater sense of personal fulfillment and that you are adding value to the world.” You could also be making people’s lives easier or brighter with your business.

Work Doesn’t Feel Like Work

“When you create a business based on your passion, work feels less like work. Instead of a grind and working paycheck to paycheck, you are your own boss doing something you love,” states Jack. Entrepreneurship is not for the faint of heart, and this is where your passion needs to fight back against hurdles and obstacles. Once you are past the difficult startup phase, you will likely have more room to breathe and enjoy what you are doing.

Freedom

According to Jack Skipp, “There will come a point where you can work fewer hours. Use this to get in the right mindset to battle the tough times because that is the only way you will get to the good times.” The long hours you initially invest will pay off in the long run. Once your company is up and running, you can step away and let your team scale it up. Delegating responsibility is critical, as is trusting your employees to meet your vision without being micro-managed.
