Catching many by surprise with the hit single “Mobbin’ 2.0” featuring Nicky900 and Bird2Four, Mobbin (preferred name) illustrates a grit and finesse only available from the streets. Naturally savvy in both the boardroom and the studio, one could really say this is a new era for The Bay! East Palo Alto to be exact.
Having played college and professional football, Mobbin isn’t your average rapper. He’s an enigma, both artist and label exec. Heavily influenced by Nipsey Hussle, GCarter1300 (Lawless/EMM), Shill Macc (UGR), Bunk Ladden (DGF), and Shady Nate (Livewire/ShadyNation), Mobbin makes it known “off the dribble” that he’s not to be played with. Currently working on a project called Mobbin In Tulum, the name emanated during one of many studio sessions between Cali and Mexico, Mobbin’s second home; expected to drop the last quarter of the year offers listeners what Kelby Cannick of Makin’ It Mag calls “Heritage Music, the true West Coast vibe, there’s no way you’re not feeling it!”
2021 is “The Year of The Mob”, so far he’s released “Mobbin’ 2.0”, “Diamonds On My Neck”, “Wrist” ft. BounceBack Meek and Nelly Starr, “2PM In Tulum”; all Summer Bangers.
