Let’s face it, the Tokyo Olympics took a hit with Sha’Carri Richardson not being able to rack up every medal that would have been placed in front of her.
“I want to take responsibility for my actions, I know what I did,” Richard stated after testing positive for marijuana and receiving a 30-day suspension. “I know what I’m supposed to do, [what] I’m allowed not to do and I still made that decision. Don’t judge me because I am human.”
The rising superstar and American sprinter were unable to compete in the Tokyo games due to testing positive for marijuana, however, the moment only elevated her star as she received support from fans and celebrities across the world.
Following the mishap with the Tokyo Olympics, Cannabis company Balance Los Angeles acted in support of Richardson, saluting the sprinter with a strain titled “Sha’Carri’s Choice.”
