Inspired by the likes of John Mayer and J Cole, ACE cruises in a lane of his own. His authentic sound and style inevitably attract the masses, undoubtedly placing him in the “Artist To Watch” category. When asked what he contributes to the culture as an artist in a recent interview with Hip Hop Weekly, ACE responded with originality and tenacity. “You don’t have to follow the model of giving a false image. A lot of artists do to meet the trend. I believe being as organic to yourself as possible will give the world your best work each time. Even better is that you’ll grow continuously not only as an artist, but as a human being as well. The more you create the more you get to know your true self. That’s how I see it in my eyes. That’s what originality brings to the table. As for tenacity I believe giving something you strive for your 110%, because 100% just doesn’t cut it anymore. You always have to push to the next level, or you’ll consistently stay the same. Sure, you’ll be comfortable, but for me I just don’t see satisfaction to that.”
