Kendrick’s Talks Release and Production of Upcoming Album

TheSource.Com

In an interview with Hypetrak TV, Kendrick explained that “Good Kid in a Mad City,” his first major release is “almost there. It’s really about just having it to my expectations…”

Even more surprising is his choice to go with in-house producers instead of utilizing his access to Aftermath’s; “Soundwave, Tae Beats, Willie B., Dave Free, Digi Phonics really. I just kept it limited to the people I came in with because they know my sound. I know their sound.”

Kendrick was then asked about his potential collaboration with fellow artist and friend J. Cole: “we still got them songs in the works…we just got to find time to lock-in. J. Cole is an incredible artist.”

Following the release and success of “Section.80,” there is major hype around Kendrick’s next album. He has made it clear, however, from his guest verses on a slew of other artist’s tracks that he has only gotten better over time.
