Go to the ‘About Me’ section on your Facebook, scroll down and peer to the bottom right corner of your screen…no, that is the email address you CHOSE to appear on your page.
Facebook voluntarily changed the email addresses of its users to [your.name.random number]@facebook.com. The social media website told none of its users about the change, attempting to direct emails to your Facebook page instead of your professional email address.
Although it’s difficult to change, here’s the way to change it: go to your profile and click on the “About button,” then scroll down to your “Contact Info” section and click “Edit.” A popup box will appear; click on the circle next to your Facebook email address and click “hidden from timeline,” and then do the opposite for the email address you want to show on your page.
For the future, always be aware of what appears and what does not appear on your Facebook page. Be weary of the information you provide and the privacy settings that are constantly changing; know your rights and use them to the fullest on all social media sites.
