Rapper Fourtee Opens Up About His Journey On His New Single “Hustle”

Los Angeles-based rapper Fourtee opens up on his latest single “Hustle”. The artist on the rise addresses the trials he’s been through to get to where he is now, and has never stopped working for what he wants.

Born and raised in Newark, New Jersey, Fourtee found hardships during his upbringing in the projects. The rapper had high hopes for himself but with no creative outlet, he decided to explore other options. In the late 2000s, the once aspiring A&R would hit the streets of New York City looking for opportunities. After catching the eye of legendary video producer Kareem Johnson, Fourtee got his first film job on a Wiz Khalifa video shoot. He then went on to assist on video shoots for other artists like Cardi B, 50 Cent and many more. Once he got his foot in the door, Fourtee traded in his A&R dreams for a career in music.

In 2019, Fourtee released his debut single “Freeze”, a song that went viral after it was discovered that he was a driver for several celebrities including Lil Uzi Vert, Gunna, DJ Khaled and the late Nipsey Hussle. The track was also hand picked by Steve Stoute and Kevin Durant to be added to the NBA 2K20 soundtrack.

The up-and-comer not only has a drive for music, but for business as well. “My interests extend far beyond music,” he says. “I have tons of business ideas and I can always see a larger vision of how to innovate in this entertainment world and merge music with fashion, art, tech, food, culture.” As the owner of Wxrld Leaders clothing line, Fourtee is also looking to expand in footwear by creating a sneaker line.

The rapper has a number of singles lined up for release in the next few months, and an album for later this year.
