Many people aspire to be musicians. They want to hear their songs on the radio and internet, get their faces plastered all over magazine covers, and have a loyal following of fans who scream their name in awe when they walk into a room. These are difficult goals to achieve, but Lucas Valeti has attained something very similar in recent years.
Valeti developed a passion for music at 11 years and has been pursuing it for over 12 years now. However, he didn’t take it seriously as a career until 2018, when he dropped out of college and moved from his native Chicago to Los Angele. In 2019, one of his songs went viral on social media and attracted the attention of music scouts. This paved the way for an invitation from Interscope Records, and though he didn’t sign, it opened more opportunities for Valeti.
Organic traffic was one such opportunity. In 2019, Valeti’s song, “Don’t Cry,” reached 320K streams on Spotify alone and similar figures on other streaming platforms. Between 2020 and 2021, Valeti released three more hits: “How I feel” with 400k streams, “Bygone” with 240K, and “Heads and Tails” with 100K. Valeti accomplished all that as an independent artist with no record label backing his marketing, PR, or any other aspect of his music.
A relentless go-getter, Valeti hopes to do even more in the future. He’s currently growing his music business in partnership with American businessman Ben Masters and is confident he’ll make it a world-renowned brand in no time. Valeti’s goal is to dominate multiple Billboard charts, sell out arenas, and collaborate with his musical icons.
