Two very interesting tidbits about Mr. Trippy himself leaked out to the internet last night, the first being part of the production credits of Lil’ Wayne’s upcoming album, I Am Not A Human Being II, which has already been highly successful before its release, producing 3 top 40 hits in a span of 6 months. Though the tracklist has been released, the production credits have not, and Juicy J has been confirmed to have produced two cuts off the soon to be released LP, much to the delight of trippy fans everywhere. More known for his rapping than his work behind the boards, its interesting that Weezy chose the “Bands Make Her Dance” rapper to produce a chunk of his cd. Clearly the chemistry from Juicy’s first single carried over.
In an interview with DJ Whoo Kid, Juicy J also revealed that his dream collaboration would feature Nas & Jay-Z. While this may seem like the typical, cliché answer for 90% of the industry, having already established himself as America’s favorite drug using, party starting countryman, collaborating with two of the more mellow, introspective and lyrical artists we have in this genre seemed like a complete left-field call. Watch the interview for yourself below. Lil’ Wayne’s I Am Not A Human Being II is set to be released on March 26th.
