Music has always played a pivotal role in both Cope and Mr. Hvndsome’s life. The two of them are not only business partners, they are also cousins and this dynamic duo set out to forge their own path in the music industry. Their new single “Downfall” represents their resilient outlook on life, pursuing your dreams through your faith along with keeping great company. “There’s one life to live so judge less, live more and rock out!” says Cope.
Born and raised in Southern California, recording artist Cope is on a mission to bring poeple together through music. Cope lost his father and battled an opiate addiction and through all of life’s ups and downs Cope has found peace through his music and now his goal is to share that peace with the rest of the world. “In a world full of misunderstood people I hope to motivate us as people to keep an open mind and truly listen, and put ourselves in one another’s shoes.”
Cope’s cousin, Mr. Hvndsome aka “Ace” owner of Hookum Records partnered up with Cope to build a legacy for their families. Ace, a music producer and recording artist from San Pedro, California has always had a knack for creating a sound that appeals to a broad audience, rather than just a typical hip hop audience. Although Ace prefers to lend his skills to the production side of music, he also knows his way around the mic and a turntable. With an ear for blending music genre’s together to create a unique sound, Ace & Cope are taking this mold and building a catalog of music that will set the duo apart in this music industry for years to come and the breakout single featuring Mr. Hvndsome, “Downfall”, is their introduction to this new sound.
The song “Downfall” is the antidote to those who are quick to judge others solely based on appearance. “Those who judge will never understand, and those who understand will never judge.” Mr. Hvndsome challenges others that have a dream to keep that dream alive and do whatever it takes to make it a reality. Those that lack self esteem and have insecurities are quick to judge. Don’t listen to the haters and just keep making it happen at all costs. “The reality of it is I make my music/art not to become famous but rather to share my art to the world and all of my
music/art comes from my heart, my blood, my sweat , & my tears literally!!” Make sure to watch the music video on YouTube and stream “Downfall” available on all platforms. Keep a lookout for “Let Your Guard Down” that drops in October. “Judging a person does not define who they are, it defines who you are and that’s there Downfall”
