The “I do all my own stunts” brag is common among action stars, but not as much among child actors. But Everett Andres(16) has been an exception from the beginning. A shy young actor who is known for his quiet and grounded demeanour between takes transforms into a young man with a large, authentic, and physically involved presence once the cameras start rolling. On his way to adulthood, Everett’s powerful presence is launching him to the next level.

More Than Just Stunts
Some of Everett’s early work was in Hallmark movies, including those feel-good Christmas films where you wouldn’t think there would be many stunts to do, but in one of them, Everett recalls being charged with driving a small boat in the ocean in the depths of night. With the director and crew on a large ship in the distance, the camera crew temporarily lost sight of him in the dark, and he found himself alone on the water, surrounded by a pod of orcas. ”It’s always a rush to do something new, and I had faith in the stunt coordinator and team.”
The stunts have scaled since then. He’s fallen off roofs, run through exploding debris, learned combat choreography for a brawl, and even taken on the role of a tumbling circus performer for a Cirque du Soleil production. “I’ve had the same stunt double on three different productions,” Everett laughed. “By our third production together, he said he wondered if he should even bother getting into the wardrobe.” The stunt double was right to doubt, as he was never called to set.
This is Everett’s style. He brings an authentic presence to his work in the physicality of his performance, the sincerity of his emotions, and his line delivery. Reviewers have stated that he has “a very sincere presence on camera” and is “able to tell the truth through his character.”
Notice and Acclaim
Everett’s talents have won him increasingly visible roles. He’s enjoyed many supporting and leading roles in Hallmark projects, earned two prestigious Leo Award nominations for his acting in the pilot of the Quantum Leap reboot (which sold its first season during the shoot), and was the bad guy in Netflix’s Lost Ollie, which went on to win five Emmy Awards. He’s been impressive on set, and he’s enjoyed the beginning of his career, saying, “While working on set, I was as happy as I’ve ever been. I love collaborating with a large creative team.”
He has loved growing his skills, but he adds that he has never ignored his academics. At only 16, he is graduating at the top of his class and has already been accepted into a prestigious engineering university. While pursuing his degree, Everett looks forward to continuing to stretch as an actor and being a positive role model for young people in the business.
A Rare and Valuable Talent
In the film industry, it can be difficult to find skilled child actors, and it’s even rarer for such actors to go on growing their talents into long-term careers. When these young actors succeed, they can carry their long experience into incredible careers, bringing great value to film after film.
There are all kinds of barriers between a young actor and success, but Everett Andres has already swept many of these barriers aside through his natural acting ability, physicality, quiet intensity, and discipline. We are certain we will hear more from this young man.
