SOURCE SPORTS: Spurs Land De’Aaron Fox, Kings Acquire Zach LaVine in Three-Team Blockbuster Trade

The San Antonio Spurs have reportedly acquired All-Star guard De’Aaron Fox, while the Sacramento Kings have landed Zach LaVine in a major three-team trade with the Chicago Bulls, according to ESPN’s Shams Charania.

Fox, 27, had not committed to a long-term future in Sacramento, prompting trade talks over the past week. He now joins Spurs phenom Victor Wembanyama, adding a dynamic backcourt presence to San Antonio’s young core. Fox is averaging 25.0 points, 6.1 assists, and 5.0 rebounds this season and played a crucial role in ending the Kings’ 16-year playoff drought in 2023.

In exchange, the Kings receive LaVine, who is in the midst of a strong season at age 29, along with Spurs guard Sidy Cissoko and a significant draft haul: three first-round picks (Charlotte’s in 2025, San Antonio’s in 2027, and Minnesota’s in 2031) and three second-round picks (Chicago’s in 2025, Denver’s in 2028, and Sacramento’s own 2028 pick from Chicago).

The Bulls, meanwhile, reacquire their 2025 first-round pick from San Antonio and gain three players: Zach Collins and Tre Jones from the Spurs, as well as Kevin Huerter from the Kings.

San Antonio also picks up Jordan McLaughlin, who has averaged 1.9 points in 28 games for the Kings. Fox, who ranks fourth in career points in Kings franchise history, now looks to make an immediate impact alongside Wembanyama in San Antonio.
