The Miami Heat are finalizing a deal to send Jimmy Butler to the Golden State Warriors in exchange for Andrew Wiggins, Dennis Schroder, Kyle Anderson, and a protected first-round pick, according to ESPN’s Shams Charania.
Butler has agreed to a two-year, $121 million extension with the Warriors as part of the trade, keeping him in the Bay Area through the 2026-27 season while declining his 2025-26 player option.
The deal also involves the Detroit Pistons, who will receive Lindy Waters III from the Warriors and Josh Richardson from the Heat.
During his six seasons in Miami, Butler led the Heat to five consecutive playoff appearances, including three trips to the Eastern Conference Finals and two NBA Finals appearances. He was named to two All-Star teams and earned three All-NBA selections during his tenure in South Beach.
