Jon Jones Tackles Healthcare Transparency in Powerful Super Bowl Ad

UFC champion Jon Jones is taking on a new fight—healthcare transparency. Partnering with Power To The Patients, Jones stars in a bold Super Bowl commercial that exposes the hidden costs of medical care and calls on elected officials to demand price transparency from hospitals and insurance companies.

In the ad, Jones criticizes the industry for keeping patients in the dark about costs, leading to unexpected and often devastating medical debt. He highlights how procedures like X-rays, blood tests, and surgeries can financially cripple families, with over 100 million Americans currently burdened by medical debt—the leading cause of personal bankruptcy in the U.S.

Jones’ message is clear: hospitals and insurers must disclose actual prices upfront. Studies reveal that medical costs can vary wildly, with the same procedure ranging from $19,000 to $168,000, depending on the hospital. Patients are left vulnerable to overcharges and forced to delay or forgo essential care without price transparency.

“I am proud to be joining Power to the Patients to take on hospitals and insurance companies that refuse to show their prices,” said Jones. “This fight for me is a personal one, and arguably the most important fight of my career.”

Polling shows that more than 90% of Americans support healthcare price transparency. Jones and Power To The Patients aim to turn that overwhelming public support into action, urging lawmakers to enforce accountability and end the financial exploitation of patients nationwide.
