Marvel Studios Unleashes New ‘Thunderbolts’ Trailer

During the Big Game, Marvel Studios electrified fans with releasing a brand-new trailer and poster for Thunderbolts, the highly anticipated antihero team-up set to shake up the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

In addition to the action-packed preview, Marvel revealed that Son Lux, the Oscar® and BAFTA-nominated experimental band behind the score for Everything Everywhere All at Once, will compose the film’s soundtrack. Known for their innovative and emotionally charged music, Son Lux is set to bring a unique sonic identity to Thunderbolts.

The film follows a team of unlikely antiheroes—Yelena Belova (Florence Pugh), Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan), Red Guardian (David Harbour), Ghost (Hannah John-Kamen), Taskmaster (Olga Kurylenko), and John Walker (Wyatt Russell)—as they are ensnared in a deadly mission orchestrated by Valentina Allegra de Fontaine (Julia Louis-Dreyfus). As they navigate treacherous territory and their own fractured pasts, they must decide whether to come together as a team or risk being destroyed from within.

Joining the MCU roster are newcomers Lewis Pullman, Geraldine Viswanathan, Chris Bauer, and Wendell Edward Pierce. Directed by Jake Schreier and produced by Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige, Thunderbolts is set to hit U.S. theaters on May 2, 2025.
