They really messed with Cardi? Ugh… The Bronx born Bodak Yellow emcee took to Instagram on Sunday to express her reasonable frustration over the heightened security she encountered at the Super Bowl, where President Donald Trump was in attendance. Along with sharing her security troubles, Cardi also revealed the painful news of her uncle’s deportation.
In her video on the Gram, Cardi vented about the difficulties she faced getting into the event due to intense security measures. “Yo, I was too mad today because, you know, Donald Trump and everything,” she began, referring to Trump’s presence at the Super Bowl, which featured Kendrick Lamar as the halftime headliner. “The Secret Service was not playing. They were making it so hard to get into that stadium!” Cardi added that her experience was worsened by damaging her expensive heels. “This shoe cost me three bands, all because of Trump,” she explained. “Now I like him even less. I’m really mad about it.”

Get this, in addition to sharing her anger about the security measures, Cardi brought up the painful news of her uncle’s deportation, suggesting that Trump’s policies were indirectly responsible. “He’s definitely not going to bring my uncle back,” she said. “My uncle got deported.”
What’s interesting although sad, Cardi didn’t elaborate further on the details of her uncle’s deportation or provide a specific timeline, her post coincides with a wider focus on President Trump’s recent mass deportation strategy.
ICYMI, since resuming office, Trump has enacted several executive orders aimed at cracking down on so called “illegal immigration,” even though the number of deportations has not been significantly increased. According to reports from the Associated Press and NBC News, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) conducted hundreds of arrests in one day last month alone, but if you know about Trump’s alleged frustrations, that not enough.
When it comes to Cardi and being vocal about the state of our country, she has long been vocal about her dissatisfaction with U.S. politics, often critiquing both Trump and Biden. She previously called the 2024 election a choice between “the lesser evil” and supported Kamala Harris when Biden stepped down. Despite her opposition to Trump’s policies, she has remained outspoken about the challenges facing the American people, especially under the current climate of immigration enforcement.
