Vanessa Lovice is a captivating talent whose unmistakable tone and vibrant energy is set to take over the airwaves. A Chicago born, Louisville bred songstress, Vanessa’s blend of big city edge and relaxed, Southern persona is one of a kind.
Like so many before her, Vanessa’s love for music began in the church choir, which was directed by her mother. A duPont Manual Youth Performing Arts High School alum, Vanessa took the same stages as the talented likes of the Pussycat Dolls’ Nicole Scherzinger, who also attended the prestigious school. While a student at the schools Musical Theatre department, Vanessa explored diverse dance and musical styles and honed her acting skills, showcasing her artistry in productions like Kiss Me Kate, Ragtime, The Crucible, and Nine. Vanessa later earned her BFA in Music from Western Kentucky University. While pursuing her degree, she sang background for RnB singer Athena Cage of Kut Klose.
Determined to find success in the entertainment business, Vanessa made a bold, cross-country move to Los Angeles post-graduation. During her early years in the city, she showcased her talent across various platforms, including a memorable performance on Comedy Central’s Tosh.0 and an appearance in RnB artist Tweet’s music video “Won’t Hurt Me.”
In 2017, she embraced a new chapter, taking a step back from her professional career to focus on family, marrying acclaimed music producer Marcus Hodge, with whom she shares one son, Houston Hodge. Her passion, however, for the arts never wavered and is something she always planned to return to.
Fueled by her passion, creativity, and unwavering faith, Vanessa Lovice is poised to be music’s next big star. With every performance, she invites audiences to experience the whimsical magic of her journey—one note at a time!
