Kendrick Lamar Makes History with Three Albums in Billboard 200 Top 10, ‘GNX’ Takes No. 1 Again

Kendrick Lamar’s GNX has reclaimed the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200, jumping from No. 4 to No. 1 on the Feb. 22 chart.

The album’s resurgence follows Lamar’s standout performance at the Super Bowl halftime show on Feb. 9 and its recent release in physical formats.

The Super Bowl effect also propelled two of Lamar’s classic albums back into the top 10—his 2017 Pulitzer Prize-winning DAMN. soared from No. 29 to No. 9, while 2012’s good kid, m.A.A.d city climbed from No. 27 to No. 10.

With three albums simultaneously in the top 10, Lamar becomes the first rap artist to achieve this feat since the Billboard 200 began its weekly publication in 1956. The milestone solidifies his legacy as one of hip-hop’s most dominant and enduring forces.
