LVMH’s highly anticipated Conversation & Celebration returns for its third year, bringing together culture, business, and technology in a powerful Black History Month event. Taking place on Thursday, February 27, at 8 p.m. at Carnegie Hall, the night will feature legendary rapper Rakim performing for the first time with a live orchestra, alongside DJ Spinderella.
The event will also include thought-provoking discussions led by financial and entrepreneurial leaders Earn Your Leisure, tech billionaire Robert F. Smith, Ed Lover, and Anish Melwani, CEO of Louis Vuitton Americas. With the rise of AI, blockchain, and cryptocurrency, the conversation will focus on breaking systemic barriers and empowering communities with financial and technological knowledge.
“The 3rd Annual Conversations & Celebrations event at Carnegie Hall is a milestone for us, and I’m beyond excited to be curating it once again,” said Carnegie Hall’s Lew Tucker. “It’s a true joy to bring the worlds of AI, Crypto, Blockchain and Financial Literacy to help bridge the economic gap in our community. To top it off, having one of my favorite rappers of all time The God Rakim perform with a live orchestra makes this year’s event even more special.”
“This is an awesome opportunity to be empowered and entertained,” said L. Londell McMillan, the chairman/CEO of The North Star Group, which owns The Source, and a veteran entertainment attorney.” As a culture, we enjoy music but must place more focus and importance on the mastery of commerce and business. Salute to Lew and the team who put this together and it is always an honor to be in the same room as Rakim, especially if he is performing. His lyrical mastery with an orchestra will be epic!!!”
