Former First Lady Michelle Obama and her former POTUS husband have been carving out a nice media empire. Still, this time, she is stepping into video podcasting with the debut of IMO, a new show co-hosted with her brother, Craig Robinson.
The former First Lady and bestselling author will join her sibling to offer a platform for personal stories, advice, and conversations with celebrity guests. This marks the first video podcast for Higher Ground, the media company Michelle and Barack Obama co-founded in 2018.
On March 10, 2025, Michelle Obama made the exciting announcement about IMO, sharing that the podcast would focus on meaningful discussions from their life experiences. “The podcast will feature celebrity guests and offer advice on various topics, drawing from their personal experiences,” she explained.

The first two episodes of IMO were previewed by The New York Times and will run around an hour each. Michelle Obama and Craig Robinson share valuable life lessons and personal reflections, steering clear of politics and current events. This distinguishes IMO from other Higher Ground productions, which often delve into cultural analysis and historical narratives.
ICYMI, Michelle Obama, who previously hosted The Michelle Obama Podcast on Spotify in 2020, brings her media experience to the show. A former basketball executive, Craig Robinson offers his perspective and insights, creating a dynamic and engaging sibling collaboration.
