Jimmy Butler is ready to return to South Beach and take on the Miami Heat. Butler and his new team, the Golden State Warriors, will visit Miami on Tuesday, which Butler calls just “another game.”
Butler and the HEAT had a contentious ending to their relationship before the trade deadline. Since then, the Warriors have been on a run, going 16-4 with Butler in the fold. The HEAT is just 4-17 since the trade, falling down the East standards.
“Yeah, I was traded from there, yada, yada, yada,” Butler said to ESPN. “Yeah, it didn’t end the way that people wanted to, yada yada yada.
“But that’s so far behind me now. I don’t even think about it. I don’t pay attention to nothing except for the trajectory of this squad.”
Butler’s new teammate, Draymond Green, said he knows it’s a big game for Butler, and the team will work to respond. “They got Wiggs over there. I know it’s a huge game for him. We want to win for Jimmy; they’re going to want to win for Wiggs. We got to come out ready to play.”
