Kendrick Lamar and SZA continue dominating the Billboard Hot 100 as their collaborative single “Luther” remains at No. 1 for a fifth consecutive week. The track, which pays homage to Luther Vandross through a sample, marks Lamar’s sixth Hot 100 chart-topper and SZA’s third, extending their longest reigns at the top.
Despite a slight dip in streams (27.9 million, down 11%), “Luther” maintains substantial radio airplay (56.2 million impressions, up 1%) and sees an increase in sales (3,000 copies sold, up 12%). The song continues to dominate genre-specific charts, logging its 13th week at No. 1 on both the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs and Hot Rap Songs charts.
Meanwhile, Playboi Carti makes a massive impact with his new album MUSIC, landing two songs in the Hot 100’s Top 5—“Evil J0rdan” debuts at No. 2, while “Rather Lie” featuring The Weeknd enters at No. 4. His album also debuts at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with 298,000 equivalent album units, marking Carti’s second chart-topping project.
