Hailie Jade Scott, daughter of iconic rapper Eminem, has welcomed her first child—a baby boy named Elliot Marshall McClintock. The 29-year-old shared the joyful news on the gram Friday (April 4), posting adorable photos of her newborn alongside a sweet caption revealing his early arrival.
With the arrival of baby Elliot, Eminem officially steps into his new role as grandfather, marking a new chapter for the family.
“Happy due date // 3 weeks earthside little e,” she wrote, marking what would have been her son’s original due date. The first photo showed baby Elliot wide-eyed in a soft blue knitted hood, while the second captured him peacefully looking away.
The pregnancy was first announced last year by Hailie, her husband Evan McClintock, and Eminem himself in a touching social media reveal. The Detroit rap icon also celebrated the news in his October 2024 music video for “Temporary” featuring Skylar Grey. The emotional visuals included nostalgic clips of him with Hailie. At this heartfelt moment, she gifted him a Detroit Lions jersey stitched with “Grandpa” on the back, and even sonogram images.
The song “Temporary” carries deep personal meaning, as Eminem reflects on mortality and encourages his daughter to embrace life even after he’s gone. Hailie opened up about the emotional impact of the track on her Just A Little Shady podcast, saying, “Yeah, between that and ‘Temporary’ […] I can’t. I audibly sobbed, I think for both songs, but especially ‘Temporary.’”
She added, “Now, as an adult in hindsight, it’s so scary to think about. And I think that’s why I get emotional so much. Just thinking that [Eminem dying] could have happened.”
