Girls Inc. of New York City hosted a powerful Wellness Mini Summit at The Young Women’s Leadership School of the Bronx, bringing together 200 public school girls for a day focused on mental health, resilience, and self-confidence. The event partnered with Kate Spade New York, a brand long committed to women’s mental health advocacy.
A highlight of the day came when Bronx native and four-time Grammy-nominated artist Ice Spice made a surprise appearance following an exclusive screening of Kate Spade’s Spring/Summer 2025 campaign video, “To the Ones Who Carry Us,” in which she stars. Ice Spice connected with students and celebrated community, mental wellness, and hometown pride before participating in a giveaway of Kate Spade handbags.
The summit also included interactive wellness activities like mindfulness exercises, meditation, dance fitness, and self-care workshops.
Kate Spade’s Mind Body Matters program, in partnership with Girls Inc., continues to grow. It plans to expand nationwide and reach 250,000 women and girls by 2030.
