DeAna Fai Set To Release New Song in ‘#WorstChristmasEver’ Starring B.J. Britt,Taja V. Simpson, Shanti Lowry, Bill Bellamy,Tamala Jones, Maurice Hall, Tyler Lofton, and Mo Ashley

The Indie Dramedy, #WorstChristmasEver is set to feature a new original Christmas song written and performed by DeAna Fai with the title currently under wraps. Following last year’s successful Christmas Dramedy “A Heart For Christmas,” the multi-talented Virginian who writes, produces, and performs her songs under her label Oxymoron Music Entertainment, LLC has once again teamed up with filmmakers Maurice Hall and Tony L. Patterson on #WorstChristmasEver. This is another one in the books for DeAna Fai as she is credited as the playback vocalist in the upcoming Official Trailer and also within the feature film that is executive produced by Taja V. Simpson. #WorstChristmasEver stars an ensemble cast that includes B.J. Britt (The Groomsmen Last Dance), Taja V. Simpson (Tyler Perry’s The Oval), Shanti Lowry (The Game), Bill Bellamy (Bel-Air), Tamala Jones (Ordinary Angels), Maurice Hall (High Potential), Tyler Lofton (The Pitt), and Mo Ashley (All American: Homecoming). With only months away, the public will witness a heartfelt Dramedy of a father persuaded to spend Christmas with his children, ex-wife and her fiance. The question is, will he find love along the way?

In an interview with The Source, DeAna Fai refers to this next Christmas Rom-Com as “an honor to be a part of.” She notes that Christmas is her favorite holiday and desires to continue bringing the spirit of joy in her music especially for the season. The Pop, RnB, and Hip-Hop artist goes on to discuss the endless advantages of writing seasonal music that transcends into the homes of communities spreading Christmas cheer. She also confirms that the pursuit has led her to working on her first Christmas album. There were no specific indications regarding the album’s content or tone. However, it is reasonable to assume that it will have a cheerful sound that is infused with love, compassion, and pleasure. Given the singer’s history of creating songs like “Ready For Christmas” and “Christmas Love,” part of an Essence Award-winning film, the songs would be diverse yet ear-pleasing. The reward is worth the wait in #WorstChristmasEver for a compelling plot and a well-chosen and meaningful Christmas melody from DeAna Fai.
