Pharrell Williams is leveling up again. The visionary artist and style icon is bringing some serious wristwear heat with the newest curated drop from his digital auction house Joopiter. Titled “The Art of Time: Rare & Coveted Watches,” the sale launches July 16 and serves up an elite lineup of nearly 30 rare timepieces, with styles stretching across a full century of craftsmanship.
This isn’t your typical collector’s flex. Joopiter has already made noise auctioning off everything from Kid Cudi’s fashion archive to a ride that shut down a New York street. Now they’re entering the watch game with a twist, skipping over the usual Paul Newman Daytonas in favor of more left-field treasures.
“Our first watch auction is a natural evolution, driven by the enthusiasm of our international collectors and our commitment to curating what’s truly exceptional,” said Caitlin Donovan, Joopiter’s global head of sales, who personally handpicked the lineup.
Standouts in the mix include a sleek Patek Philippe Gondolo with an onyx dial, a trio of wild Franck Muller watches from the ’90s including the unpredictable Crazy Hours, and a jaw-dropping all-blue Richard Mille RM030 made for Paris Saint-Germain. For the heads deep into the game, two extremely rare watches from Japanese brand Otsuka Lotec are also part of the drop.
This catalog covers every tier of the game. For newer collectors, there’s an Ebel Sports Classic Chronograph powered by Zenith’s legendary El Primero movement. In the mid-tier, look out for a Rolex Air-King marked with the Omani khanjar and a skeletonized Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Concept.
But the crown jewels? Those belong in a league of their own. We’re talking a platinum Rolex Day-Date with a lapis-lazuli dial, a black diamond-drenched Audemars Piguet Bamboo, a custom Cartier Tank Cintrée made through Cartier’s New Special Order program, the original gold Audemars Piguet Royal Oak 5402 BA, and the showstopper coral-dial Piaget for Cartier Tank 9200.
For fans of rare design, watch culture, and fashion history, this auction is a moment. Keep your eye on Joopiter’s site and their socials for updates, and expect the Gram to light up when these pieces hit the spotlight. Time never looked this good.
