According to ESPN, the kissing incident, coupled with Wilkins’ injury woes, was enough for the Raiders to cut ties. The Raiders had already voided the $35 million guaranteed money on his contract earlier this summer.
The kiss moment was deemed “playful,” but it didn’t resonate with the teammate that way. Last offseason, Wilkins signed a four-year $110 million deal with the Raiders after spending five seasons with the Miami Dolphins.
