Seems like Netflix is doubling down on tackling boxing this year with a massive showdown. WBA lightweight champion Gervonta “Tank” Davis will step into the ring against social media star turned fighter Jake Paul in an exhibition bout set for Nov. 15, 2025, at State Farm Arena in Atlanta, confirmed by Ring Magazine.
Well, we got to admit, we did not have this on our who is Jake Paul going to fight next bingo card.
Get this, Paul was previously in talks for a match with Anthony Joshua, but that fell apart due to network complications. Instead, he now faces Tank Davis, widely considered his toughest opponent yet. Davis was originally lined up for a rematch with Lamont Roach, but that fight was cancelled following his July arrest on domestic violence charges, which have since been dropped.
As for Tank’s professional record, it stands at an impressive 30-0-1, with 28 of those wins coming by knockout. He last fought Roach to a draw in March and previously knocked out Ryan Garcia and Frank Martin. Jake Paul, meanwhile, has built his fight résumé largely by facing MMA veterans before testing himself against Julio Cesar Chavez Jr., Floyd Mayweather Jr., and most recently Mike Tyson, whom he beat by unanimous decision last November.
What makes this clash even more intriguing or a bit comical is the size difference between the two men. Paul weighs in at 200 pounds and stands 6’1”, while Davis fights at 135 pounds and measures 5’5 1/2”. Despite the gap, the exhibition label and star power behind both names ensure this will be one of the year’s most talked-about events, especially under Netflix’s spotlight.
Anyways, this fight is part of a loaded Netflix combat sports calendar. Just two months earlier, on Sept. 13, the platform will host a marquee matchup between Canelo Alvarez and Terence Crawford at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. That card will also feature Callum Walsh against Fernando Vargas Jr., Christian Mbilli against Lester Martinez, and Mohammed Alakel against John Ornelas.
What do y’all think is this going to be a hard hitting fight or nah?
