Jadakiss Rebukes Claims He Grew Up Like A ‘Huxtable’

Jadakiss is setting the record straight after chatter on the socials suggested he was raised in a picture-perfect household. The Yonkers rap icon addressed the narrative during a recent episode of his podcast Joe & Jada with Fat Joe, making it clear that his upbringing was far from what some fans have imagined.

“Some asshles in the comments think I grew up like the Huxtables,” Jadakiss said. “I don’t know what the fck is wrong with these people, but coming from where we come from, it’s a beautiful thing to have both of your parents. I know in rap, they see all these people.. Yeah, we had both of our parents.”

He pushed back on the idea that having a mom and dad at home meant life was easy. “Do that mean we wasn’t in the street? No. That mean our household had gold spoons? No. My moms bust her ass,” he continued. “My pops was on drugs. He was able to shake back. I was outside doing sh*t. I was smart in school, I was athletic, but I was outside.”

The LOX veteran also reminded everyone that his story has receipts and cannot be erased just because he had both parents in his life. “Just ask the people, just ask the cops, just ask anybody you wanna ask. But for some reason these people… you can’t be standing up to your word if you have both of your parents. Are you some type of assh*le? It’s a blessing to have both of your parents.”

For Jadakiss, the criticism misses the bigger picture. Having two parents at home never shielded him from the struggles of his neighborhood, and he refuses to let anyone rewrite his truth.
