This past Saturday, August 23, 2025, Brooklyn came alive as Angela Yee Day took place at the Barclays Center Ticketmaster Plaza for another unforgettable year. What has grown into a beloved community tradition, the annual event—founded by Power 105.1’s media powerhouse Angela Yee—once again delivered a perfect mix of culture, entertainment, and resources for families across the borough.
Attendees were treated to an afternoon filled with free hair braiding for children, hair care products, family-friendly activities, and a wealth of educational and community resources. Angela Yee’s vision for the day shined through, creating a space where fun and empowerment went hand-in-hand.
The stage was electric with performances from Gyptian, Maino, Chronic Law, Cheem, Tifa, Th3rd, and Stephanie Saint-Come. Each artist thoroughly entertained the crowd and made the epic event memorable. The vibes didn’t stop there—Power 105.1’s own DJ Norie kept the plaza moving with a mix of Caribbean sounds that had everyone dancing.
