Ciara Says She Would Host ‘Love Island’ And Bring “Mama CiCi” Energy

Ciara could be adding reality TV host to her resume. The Grammy winning artist recently admitted she would jump at the chance to host Love Island, the wildly popular dating show that keeps fans glued in with its whirlwind romances and dramatic shake ups.

Interesting pairing. Ciara x Love Island.

During a chat with Complex’s Jordan Rose, the “Goodies” singer explained she can easily picture herself guiding contestants through their ups and downs. “I would definitely be up in there like Mama CiCi,” she said. “I’d be like a sister, but sometimes I turn into a mama. When you want the best for someone, your heart leads you to step in.”

Get this, Ciara added that she would not hesitate to step in with some real talk when the drama gets messy. “I’ll be like, ‘Y’all get your mind right,’” she joked. “The stuff they do on that show is crazy. It’s so disrespectfully good. I’d be like, ‘Why y’all making that girl go through this?’ Then I’m hooked, waiting to see what happens next.”

Her love for the series is not something she enjoys alone either. Ciara revealed that she has even gotten her husband, Denver Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson, to tune in. “I’ve dragged Russ into this thing with me, so he’ll indulge sometimes,” she shared. “He’s so focused on football, so it’s not a regular habit, but he’ll watch.”

What’s more, the couple’s guilty pleasure comes right as Love Island USA wrapped its seventh season in July. Amaya Espinal and Bryan Arenales took home the top prize but split only days after the finale. Meanwhile, runners up Nic Vansteenberghe and Olandria Carthen, who earned a big cosign from singer Chlöe Bailey, appear to be thriving outside the villa.
