Jay-Z announced today that he will be expanding his chain of high-end sports bar/restaurant to the new Brooklyn Nets Stadium that is set to open on September 28th. The restaurant will be located on the suite level of the arena, but unlike other prestigious restaurants and bars in the stadium, will be open to all ticket holders, not just patrons of the stadium.

The bar and restaurant will be 9,000 square feet with 350 seats and will stay open an hour past the game, unlike the food stands and beer vendors of the stadium who close at the start of the fourth quarter.

Although “40/40” will be a fantastic addition for Nets fans and visitors of the Barclays Center, state officials and surrounding neighborhoods worry about the consequences of an establishment of the new stadiums stature distributing alcohol that late into the night; the State Liquor Authority has not approved the arena’s drinking plan yet.

Either way, Jay-Z’s sports bar will undoubtedly be a hotspot during all events at the new stadium. Remember, only ticket holders can attend, so get them early!

Props: Post.
