Rich Homie Quan sits down with Hot 97’s Peter Rosenberg and Cipha Sounds to talk about his name, comparisons between him and future and more.
Rich Homie Quan stopped by Hot 97 for a sit-down interview with Cipha Sounds and Peter Rosenberg to discuss how he came up with ‘Rich Homie’ to add to his actual name; Quan.
Even though Rosenberg had a hilarious scenario of how he got it, Quan states that he called himself ‘Rich’ because he wasn’t at the time and put that weight on himself to become rich in the future.
Quan further states that ‘Rich’ is meant for his spirit; rich in spirit.
Cipha and Rosenberg then talk about how Future, whose previous alias was ‘Meat Head’ (smart name change), and Quan’s sounds are similar. Quan brings it all the way back to MySpace shunning all accusations of either of the two ‘borrowing’ each other’s sounds because their content is polar opposite.
