Expected to make a Top 10 debut on the Billboard Charts, R. Kelly’s Black Panties album released this Tuesday has already had him in the hot seat as we reported with his tweets. He recently sat down with Elliott Wilson for his #CRWN series and brought up a few points that we may have not known from making some of his best hits in the parking lot of McDonald’s to still being down to work with Jay Z. Seems like Jay Z has somewhat mended his relationship with old business partner and friend Damon Dash, you never know. But after the whole Best of Both World’s drama, it’s always a wonder if that would work again. We also learned that the Pied Piper was depressed making TP2.com and claims that he made Trapped In The Closet after the Best of Both Worlds drama.
It’s safe to say true feelings and pain make great stories, but will ‘Black Panties’ give us that R&B, love-making, celebration of Egyptian cotton bed sheet music back? With titles like, Legs Shakin’, Marry the P***y and Every Position, we may be close to the sultry sounds of overall raw love. He also hinted on an upcoming Christmas album, 12 Days of Christmas (next year) that will be far from “corny” and even a Country music album that he’s already six songs in to.
