While at New Era, Songz announced that his album will drop June 30. He only announced the new album after being asked about it.

The real reason Trigga visited New Era was because, as a school, they are excelling academically, Songz said. “Ya’ll young black men, they don’t expect us to succeed,” The Virginia singer said. “But, ya’ll can go prove them wrong everyday.” Trey Songz said. He also told students that he knows that schools “are clicked up,” but “If you spend time trying to be anyone else, you are wasting God’s talent,” The R&B singer said to students.
