INTERESTING DETAILS FROM HIS COVER ART/CONCEPTUALIZATION
The cover art for My Krazy Life, which features YG in a mugshot pose (pictured above) with an inmate name board hanging from his neck, featuring the numbers 3192009 inscribed under the album title. Today YG revealed that those numbers stood for the exact date (March 19th, 2009) that he was jailed for burglarizing a house, among other things. The significance here is that, YG’s debut album will be released almost exactly 5 years to the day–his March 18th release date falls just 24 hours short of the exact date–and for a moment, you could see a twinkle in YG’s eyes as he acknowledged the incredible juxtaposition his album art portrays.
