Last week, news broke that Kendrick Lamar‘s highly anticipated and long-awaited return to the rap game would come this week, and sure enough, earlier this morning, his new single, “i”, was released via Soundcloud and to iTunes. The track, which is produced by Rahki–who worked with Kendrick on his critically-acclaimed debut–has hints of The Love Below Andre 3000, and features Kendrick pushing forth the message of unity we’ve heard him more-than-subtly mention on a lot of his prior records. It’s a slight departure from the slightly slower pace we’ve heard on more familiar Kendrick singles, but surely reminiscent of some of his more recent work, i.e. Flying Lotus‘ “Never Catch  Me” single. Either way, everyone’s got an opinion, and Twitter is great proof of that. What do you think of “i”? Here’s what these guys thought.
