After watching Dr. King’s final speech, Texas DJ JC Flores was moved to to create this musical tribute, “I Have Been to The Mountain Top.”
The Mashup Wreckaz “That Damn Toucan” aka JC Flores was so moved after watching Martin Luther the King’s final speech, that he sought to make a song that captured that moment of inspiration he felt. Flores, who DJs on 96.9 KissFM, in San Antonio, Texas, said the following:
After watching Dr. King’s last speech, I was so moved by the tone and delivery of his final sentiments that I wanted to produce a song that used various instruments playing together in unison to illustrate a particular emotion that I felt was communicated by Dr. King when he spoke at his last speech, and that’s how ‘I Have Been to The Mountain Top’ was born.
