Never try to actually Run The Jewels
Killer Mike & El-P, for the second year in a row, put out one of the best rap albums of the year in 2014 with RTJ 2, and they’re down in Austin, Texas performing some of their ridiculously dope cuts for the masses at SxSW.
Unfortunately, one guy was more concerned with acting out the duo’s name.
This Instagram video shows that as Mike and El performed, some guy waltzed on stage–seemingly from behind the performing rappers–and completely bypassed Killer Mike on his way to El-P. Mike was having none of it, and he pulled the guy off of El-P, and squared up to engage with him before he was physically chased off stage by several members of Run The Jewels’ entourage.
A second Instagram video, which you can watch here, shows the aftermath of the guy getting chased off stage, and it wasn’t pretty.
