Bronx, NY native Remy Ma came home from a stretch in New York State prison last summer to immediate spotlight. Within a week of her release, she released a music video for her remix to DJ Khaled‘s “They Don’t Love You Know More” alongside fellow Bronx native French Montana. Since then, it has been sporadic freestyles and songs featuring Remy Ma as her aclimation to the music scene was less than stellar.
Last night, during the wrap-up show of the latest Love & Hip-Hop: Atlanta season, it was revealed that Remy Ma, real name Reminisce Smith as well as her husband and fellow MC Papoose, real name Shamele Mackie, will be joining the cast of the upcoming Love & Hip-Hop: New York season.
As soon as the news was revealed, cast member on the previous season, Dime Piece (that is her name), gave Remy some advice as you can see above.
Very few of the previous cast members of the Vh1 series having extensive musical backgrounds. with the addition of Remy and Pap, it adds an air of legitimacy to the series. Musically of course. Without a doubt, this is a big get for Mona Scott-Young and the folks over at Love & Hip-Hop. Will you be tuning in for the upcoming season?
