The Golden State Warriors are having a season for the ages, starting 24-0 while currently sitting at 36-2. For their superstar guard Steph Curry, a chance to eclipse the 1996 Chicago Bulls 72-10 regular season record isn’t too tall of a task. Why? Because they don’t really care until you ask them.
From the San Jose Mercury News:
“People ask us after games what it feels like to be whatever our record is at that point, and you get reminded where we are,” Stephen Curry said after the Warriors beat the Sacramento Kings on Saturday night.
The good thing for Curry and the Warriors, though, is he believes they don’t feel pressure and they haven’t lost the essence of the game.
“But when we’re out there on the floor, we’re not playing like if we lose, we’ll be off the pace. There’s no pressure when we’re out there, so that’s a good feeling.”
That’s definitely good for the Warriors, but scary for the NBA. The Warriors don’t look like they will slow down anytime soon and as long as they have the desire to continue to excel, the Warriors may be in line for a great chance to repeat.
