Nick Cannon took to Instagram yesterday [Friday, January 22] to reveal his thoughts regarding the announcement his ex-wife Mariah Carey is now officially engaged to billionaire boyfriend James Packer.
The announcement, which came on Thursday, featured Mariah showcasing a whopping 35 carat diamond ring.
Although Mariah plans on jumping the broom, Cannon recently revealed in an interview with Dujor magazine he highly doubts he will walk down the aisle again.
“I feel like marriage isn’t for everyone,” Cannon said. “A friend of mine put it the funniest way. He said, ‘If you heard that there was a 50/50 chance of living or dying when you jump out of a plane, you probably wouldn’t go skydiving.”
Despite the fact the split between the two were amicable, TMZ reports the union between Carey and Packer could be delayed due to the fact that both of them are still married.
The iconic singer’s divorce from ex-husband Nick Cannon is not yet finalized, and businessman billionaire Packer is still technically married to ex-wife Erica Packer who’s now reportedly dating singer Seal.
Regardless of the small hurdles, Carey’s still moving forward in the wedding planning process and both Packer and Carey are excited about their future together.
